Finding Your Passion
I’ve been thinking about the key ingredient of a transformation adventure. For me, it’s passion. I know many who are looking for just this thing. I, too, searched and searched, deep inside, far and wide. I struggled to find my passion, my purpose, time and time again…for it is a fleeting find. Held only for a time, passion binds you to a purpose, but only until it is fulfilled. And then what? A new one is needed or wanted.
If you think carefully and truthfully of your past and previous passions you will remember this—you never discover your passion, but it will find you. It is true. Passion will creep inside, quietly growing. You can sense it but barely enough to realize what’s happening in your busy and frustrating life. Until one day, when you are not looking for it, your passion will appear in an honest moment of admitting an uncomfortable truth about yourself. An epiphany will occur. As you face your frustration and reveal its roots, your passion will spring forth from this freshly tilled soil and new opportunities will grow into an ever-lengthening vine. Until then, open the gift of adversity and learn all you can. Feel every feeling and embrace its information. Take the risk of unbecoming what you’re not. One day, along this journey, low and behold, your passion will appear. This is the transformation adventure for individuals and organizations alike. Join me and enjoy the thrill of the ride!
